Call for Projects
In December 2021, the Village of Haverstraw was awarded $10 million by Governor Kathy Hochul through the New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program. The DRI program is a comprehensive approach to boosting local economies by transforming communities into vibrant neighborhoods where the next generation of New Yorkers will want to live, work, learn, and play.

The DRI provides an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to submit projects that may be considered by the LPC for inclusion in the DRI Strategic Investment Plan. Projects should advance the Village of Haverstraw’s vision and leverage additional investment. Projects may range in cost and scale, from small improvements to large-scale construction projects.

DRI Boundary
Projects should be located within the DRI Boundary, which can be found below. Eligible projects located adjacent to or near the DRI Boundary may also be submitted and considered by the LPC in accordance with the Project Selection Criteria. Only projects within the final DRI boundary will be considered for inclusion in the DRI Strategic Investment Plan.
